• Butterfly's Dust: It isn't a real poison, but the food taster is always told that if they are not given an antidote once a day to stop them from dying. The antidote is fake also, using only the power of the mind believing it would stop their death. It keeps the food taster from running away.
  
• Blackberry: Bitter, but only poisonous when prepared in a special solution of grain alcohol and yeast and then cooked with extreme care at the proper temperature.
  
• Curare: Liquid, and when applied to a dart and then stuck into a person, then the person will become paralysed and their magic will also be paralysed.
  
• Have a Drink, My Love: Often shortened in name to simply 'My Love'. It was named this because it has a history of being used by disheartened wives on their husbands. It is the most deadly poison, and affects the target immediately. As small a dose as 2 drops can cause delusions, paranoia and disorientation for two or three days. It is grown in Sitia and tastes like sour apples.
  
• Kattsgut: Sweet, nothing else was mentioned in the book XD
  
• Theobroma: Causes paralysis of the body and magic. It is a liquid that is applied to darts, similar to Curare.
  
• Tigtus: Resembles sugar and smells like rosewood. A single grain will kill within the hour if swallowed.
  
• White Fright: Produces stomach cramps after it has worn off. The cramps last one day. It is in the "antidote" for "Butterfly's Dust".
