Andreas had been expecting the girl to leave, to go wherever she was going and do whatever it was she had been planning to do. Instead the sound of hoof beats can closer and he glanced over his shoulder to find that she was following him. Lovely. "Yes?" She obviously still wanted something from him, because even if she was simply going in the same direction as him she would be able to move much faster, being on a horse and all. [/blockquote]

Thay followed slowly, Skye balanced on her right hand, drawing blood from the cuts she was inflicting with her talons, as she tried to hold on, while Aggro lazily tripped and stumbled as he made his way along, making the ride a lot more bumby and difficult than usual. As Andreas glanced over his shoulder Thay smirked slightly, sure that she would annoy him sooner or later. As he spoke she tried not to smirk as much, and smiled sweetly, sighing slightly and dramatically. "Can't I go for a ride?" She didn't know why, but she knew Andreas didn't mind her smart ass answers as much as anyone else, so she didn't mind using them, even if it did wind him up. She kicked Aggro's flanks lightly and caught up with Andreas, slowing Aggro down to come up beside him, with a good safe distance still between, more so that Aggro didn't kick him, than him attack them. Thajra smiled again as she looked down on Andreas.

Andreas chuckled at her dramatic sigh and smart remark, suppressing the urge to roll his eyes once more. So now he had her following behind him like a lost puppy. He didn't mind it so much, but it may prevent him from patrolling adequately. Anyone would be able to hear them coming now. He heard the horse speed up and before long they were walking beside each other at teh same pace. It was odd having company with him on one of his patrols; he was used to having the time to think and be alone. Well, he could always think some other time. "So, want to tell me where you're from?" Earlier she had made a comment about how she wasn't like the soldiers from Ixia, which meant she must be from Sitia, but he was still fairly certain there was no clan by the name of Mahina. After hearing his question, Thay let out another soft sigh, wondering whether to tell him or not. After a few moments, she decided she would tell him, but wasn't sure how he would interpret it. "I wasn't born in Sitia.... And before you say anything, I wasn't born in Ixia either. Well, I don't think I was. I don't know to be honest. And my last name was apparently changed to help hide my identity for some reason. I really don't know why." Thay sighed again, thinking of her mother and father, never really knowing them, and always wanting them. She bit her lip gently before continuing. "I don't live permanently, I travel about with my brother, but lately we have stayed put in the Krystal Clan. They are very welcoming, and I think my brother quite likes this girl, hence why we are staying there longer than usual, and why he is so snappy with me." She gave a slight chuckle, before bending and stretching the arm with Skye on, to stop it cramping up. She looked down to Andreas, to see what he made of the information she had given. Quietly she thought she would ask her own question. "Andreas, have you ever left the Daviian Plateau?" She wasn't completely sure if he had heard her, as it had escaped her lips as nothing much more than a whisper.

He tried to understand what she meant when she informed him that she was not born in Sitia, or in Ixia. That didn't make sense. Where else could she have been born? Where else was there? He frowned slightly, not because he was angry or anything, he was just thinking. And then she said her last name had been changed, and she was a traveler, never stayed in one place for too long. But, she and her brother were staying with the Krystal Clan lately, where her brother seemed to have fallen in love with someone. The Krystal Clan? That was about as far away from the Daviian Plateau as anyone could be while still remaining in Sitia. What in the world was she doing here? "You had to come a long way to get here," he commented out loud, not bothering to hide the question from his voice. Although he didn't blatantly ask why she was here, he still wanted to know. Her words did not fall on deaf ears but he was caught off guard by her question. Why did it matter to her whether he had ever left the Daviian Plateau or not? "No, I haven't." [/blockquote]

Thay gave a slight chuckle as she saw the confusion in his face, and the frown that gave away his trying to make sense of it all. She knew that not many people grasped the concept. And she supposed, if one had not traveled about much, they wouldn't know about the few places in the mountains and what not. Well, that was where she presumed she was born, but she was never told, not anything. She hated this fact, and just thinking about how much she had been deceived made her scowl. As his words of his musing came out she gave a small chuckle again. "I like it this way, and I had to get away from there. It is so much more peaceful here, and I like it. Took a while, yes, but I don't care about that, I love to travel with just me, Aggro and Skye. Gives me some time to think, you know?" She smiled down on Andreas. She hadn't given away the reason she was here really, but she had still answered his question. As he replied to her question, it was her time to wear the frown. She wouldn't be able to stay in one place the whole of her life, and knew that many people sought for adventure, so it was odd how the Daviian's never really left home. "How come?"

Andreas understood exactly what she meant when she explained that she lived just having time to think, with just her, her horse, and her falcon. She then proceeded to ask him why he had never left the Daviian Plateau and he continued walking in silence for a few moments before answering. "Why would I want to?" He glanced over at her. "The world outside the plateau holds nothing for me."

Thay let her mind wander as she waited for Andreas to say something. She was getting quite hot now, and with her spare hand wiped her brow, her mind starting to buzz slightly. She wondered if her brother was wondering where she was by now, but she didn't care, she doubted he would even notice her missing. She gave a small sigh, wondering what her life would be like if she had a proper functioning family. Her eyes met Andreas' as he spoke, and she frowned again, wondering what would hold dome back from the adventure. She cleared her throat slightly, brushing her hair back from her eyes. "How'd you know that if you have never left it?" She thought this was a reasonable question, as she couldn't quite grasp the concept of never leaving one place. She knew she would never be able to that, to be grounded in one place the whole of her life, even if she was younger than most travelers. She wasn't sure how old Andreas was, but he couldn't be that much older, no more than five years. She watched him carefully waiting for a response to her first question, while thinking of her next one. "How old are you Andreas?"
[Any reason why?]

((Because my post sucked like a black hole))
How could he know if he had never left? "Everything I need, everyone I love is right here. We live happily and peacefully amongst ourselves while outside a war broils just under the surface. I am happy with my life as it is; I have no reason to leave." Why was she so interested in why he would never want to leave his home? He could understand why she would want to travel constantly, not having a family or a home of her own, but he did. He had a family, a wonderful home, and the responsibility to help look after both of those.
Boy was she full of questions, despite the fact she seemed to be void of straight answers. Oh well, he wasn't going to lie to her because she wouldn't answer his questions. "I'm twenty-three," he replied, wondering again why she cared. It was odd being questioned like this; having grown up around the same people for his entire life, nobody ever questioned him about anything aside from how he fared on his patrol and stuff like that. Thay snorted quietly. She didn't think in her own opinion that his answer was a good enough reason to stay in one place constantly. She was sure that everything he had said would be the reason to draw her out of the one place. However, she had never been in the situation where she had a large family to care about her, to protect, to love. She had never formed the attachment she wanted to have with her grandmother, and this had caused rifts in the only family she had. Ithey were actually her real family, but she wasn't too sure. She gave another sigh and came back to the present. "But isn't it boring to just stay in place for your whole life?" As she heard his age she nodded and smiled, focusing her attention back on moving Aggro in the right direction, trying to make him perk up a bit, and not keep tripping over his own feet. As she did this, she started to think of how to word the many questions in her head. She wondered how long it would take him to get annoyed and tell her to go away.

For the few moments the girl was silent, he listened to the sounds of nature and tried to find a sound that didn't belong, but there was none. Just the wind in the leaves of the trees and the sounds of birds singing to each other. And Thajra's voice. "I don't stay in place. The Daviian Plateau is a large territory, Thajra. More than enough space to spread out and avoid restlessness. It may surprise you, but not everyone feels the need to run away from their life." [/blockquote]

Thay got tired of having Skye on her hand, letting out a low pitched whistle, she tipped her hand, sending Skye forward, her leather straps on her feet rubbing each other as she went off to hunt for Thajra. She gave a small moan as she brought her hand to her mouth, sucking at the wounds slightly, wincing as the stinging began. She would have to clean it soon, as she knew that they could become infected after having who knows what from Skye's talons crawling inside of her.
Thay gave a slight 'hurrumph' as Andreas spoke. She glared at him, the slight anger evident in her voice. "What makes you think I am running away from my life?" Her tone was sharp, reflecting the mood in her eyes. She still didn't understand why he wouldn't just take the risk and explore the world. You never understood yourself until you understood the world in her opinion, and she was close to knowing who she was. It angered her how blind he was to the rest of the world, how secluded he wanted to make himself.

As her falcon flew off his attention was drawn to the wounds on her arm where the bird had dug its claws into her skin. They didn't look particularly deep, but he knew that they could easily get infected if not treated soon. Who knew what small rodents the hawk's claws had dug into, and what diseases those small rodents may have had. She could probably take care of that herself, seeing as how it was her bird and it probably wasn't the first time she had been wounded by it. He was vaguely surprised that he had pushed one of her buttons before she had pushed his, although that really just told hi he had probably hit it spot on. "Hardly any family, no home, always on the move, probably never seeing the same person twice if you can help it, fixated on how I can stand to stay in one place... sounds like running away to me." He shrugged. He could be right, or he could be completely wrong, but it didn't really matter to him. He was probably never going to see her again after today anyway. [/blockquote]

Thajra made a mental note to herself to clean the wounds later, she wouldn't bother now, but she knew she wouldn't forget, and it didn't really bother her much if she did forget. Right now she more focused on what Andreas was saying. His calm tone frustrated her more, and she scowled angrily at him as he spoke. As he words struck her she urged Aggro quicker, cutting in front of Andreas sideways on, gritting her teeth, glowering, "I am not running away from anything" She paused staring at him for a while, keeping the eye contact up, before turning Aggro back into the direction they were heading in, the anger seeping out of her, being replaced by some other emotion. Quietly she whispered, "I am searching..." She knew he might hear, but didn't care, it was more to convince herself, and she was sure the uncertainty was clear in her voice. She sighed, and kept her back to Andreas.

Andreas stopped walking when Thajra urged her horse forward, blocking his path with the animal's body. He watched her, seeing that she wanted eye contact, as she assured him she was definitely not running away from anything. The problem with her eye contact, as much as she wanted it to show that she was telling the truth, was that he saw something in her gaze that she probably didn't want him to see. Was that uncertainty he detected, hiding beneath the anger? She finally moved her horse and they both continued on their way while Thajra muttered to herself about how she was searching. Searching for what? He could think of a multitude of things off the top of his head that she might be looking for, but he didn't feel like being presumptuous again. "Very well then, I wish you luck in finding whatever you are searching for." [/blockquote]
