Thay sighed to herself, forgetting she was in company for a moment. She looked down as he spoke, his words making her jump as the broke into her mind. She took her gaze away quickly, knowing how much her eyes gave her feeling away, and knowing that he may have already noticed this. She let a low 'mm' leave her lips as he wished her luck, her mind wandering and reaching out, trying to find hidden answers to the many questions rushing through her head. She knew she could let herself and her moods get carried away with herself, so she drew back, leveling up once again with Andreas. "I'm sorry. Didn't mean to snap there, I just get a little... angry sometimes." She tried to smile sweetly, but it was strained.

They walked in silence for some moments before Thajra moved back to walk beside him once more, apologizing for snapping at him. Evidently she got a little angry sometimes. Really? He hadn't noticed. "Everyone gets angry sometimes, it's hardly something to apologize for," he replied. So long as she didn't kill anyone while she was angry, it wasn't really something to worry about. He accepted that she had been angered by what he said, but he didn't apologize for saying it. "Are you planning to stay around here for long?" It was changing the subject, but not for the simple purpose of changing the subject, he simply wanted to know how long she was going to stay in the area. He may have to tell his people about her so she wouldn't be attacked. [/blockquote]

Thajra shook her head slightly as he said that it was something she needn't have apologized for. She didn't care if he didn't think it was, she knew she would apologize for anything, no matter how small a thing, she would still do it. Even though she thought this, she didn't voice her opinions. She didn't want to make an argument out of it. She rubbed Aggro slightly, wondering how much more tolerant he would be to the heat, and to the strange man next to him. Aggro didn't take well to strangers, or to most people, and would only ever allow Thay to ride him. She was glad that he hadn't tried to hurt Andreas already, and praised him for being such a good boy. She smiled down at Andreas, trying to think of an answer. "Um. I am not to sure, as long as things are here to keep me here" She smiled again, and wondered if he were getting annoyed at her presence.

Her answer to his question confused him slightly. Things? What kind of 'things' would be keeping her here? She smiled at him after she said it, so it didn't sound like she was being forced to stay here because of a certain circumstance or something, but he was still curious. "Things?"

thay laughed slightly at the curious tone is hos voice. she wasn't even sure why she had said it, as she wasn't sure what would keep her here, as it changed each time. she smiled and as aggro tripped once more. he was being very lazy in the heat, and wasn't picking up his feet properly. thay sighed and while he still moved slpped her legs over and jumped down. she grabbed his reigns as he snorted and fell in time with andreas' pace. "things being whatever i want, food, weather, boredom, that sort of things." she smiled again, hoping he didn't think she was stupid, although she could be quite so. thay tucked a loose hair back again, and patted aggro again, understanding how he didn't like the heat. [sorry about the wait :] i am in lesson again, so don't have my codes. :] and sorry that it is short, and i have given up on capitals at the moment :] i am just too lazy and hot. ]

Andreas wondered what was wrong with her horse, and why she bothered to keep it when it was so close to complete uselessness. Had it been hit in the head? Not eaten or drank in a while? What was wrong with it that it seemed to be having so much trouble walking? But that was Thajra's problem, not his. He dealt with his horse, she would deal with hers. "You are a very... interesting girl, Thajra," he commented. It was strange how easily she left her life up to chance; he would never be able to live like that. "How do you do it? Live like you do, I mean." [/blockquote]

Thay trundled along quietly for a moment, thinking through her answer carefully. She wasn't so sure of the answer herself, so it would take a slightly longer time to create the answer in her mind. She patted Aggro slightly. He wasn't designed for the heat, and preferred open land. He was a Sandseed horse so felt agitated in places with somewhere over his head. Thay wasn't sure why he kept tripping though. It wasn't like him. Maybe he had eaten something funny. She chuckled and skipped slightly ahead of Andreas, turning so she was facing him, precariously walking backwards. She hoped she wouldn't trip. "I'm interesting am I?" Yeah, she was stalling slightly, picking the words in her mind carefully. She gave a small sigh, hoping it would be a decent answer, and not an awful babble. "I just have to live like this. It is all I know really. I prefer it like this. Makes it more fun. Riskier. But life is about the risks you take, the more you do, the more you find out about yourself. I guess you don't really know, seeing as you never leave the Daviian plateau. You should try it you know." She smiled sweetly, before turning the right way, and silently walked in front of Andreas for a bit, not sure whether the last part of her answer would offend him or not. sorry for such a long wait. i have had many problems in my life. :] hopefully they have smoothed out. ^^

Andreas didn't slow when she began walking backwards in front of him; she would either have to make sure she was walking fast enough that he didn't run into her, or she would go back to walking forward like a regular person. Or maybe she would trip over one of the many roots that were sticking up, or plants, or maybe even a small animal. Any one of them would be quite amusing. But no, the gods weren't granting that wish. Not that he expected them to; it was a pretty selfish, cruel wish. But there must be one god atleast with a sense of humour, right? Maybe next time.
Thajra began her actual reply by saying she simply had to, that she preferred it because it was riskier, and more fun. And finding out about herself. And how he wouldn't know, because he'd never left his territory. And how he should try it. Why did she care so much about how he lived his life? Seriously, he was perfectly fine living where he was and, until today, he had never even thought about what else life might have in store. But then this random girl had to come around and stir everything up, and now, much to his dismay, he wanted to know what the rest of the world was like. He wanted to - how had she put it? - take risks and find out about who he really was, beneath all the layers of group thinking. Was he even anyone at all, without his tribe? What if he went out to find himself and found that there was nothing to find? He didn't want to take that risk.
Ah, but hadn't the girl said that taking risks was what life was all about? But his life hadn't been about that, and he had gotten along just fine, right? Then again, he had never known anything else. And you can't miss something you never had, right? What if he went out and found that he liked it better out there? He didn't know if he wanted to take that risk either. It was much too much for him to think about at one time. This was his life. His everything. And it was an all or nothing kind of world.
He wasn't sure how much time had passed, but Thajra was still silent, as she had been since after her comment about how he should try it, so it must not have been too long. He was about to think of something to reply when his attention was brought elsewhere. He had thought this before, but it was beginning to concern him. "Is your horse alright? He looks sick." Thay let her mind wander freely in the realms of her imagination, pitching and turning as it wound its way looking for certain memories that she had blown out of proportion. In her subconsciousness she let herself slow down to get back level with Andreas, while awaiting for his reply, which did seem to be taking its time to form into the words that would utter from his mouth.
She gave a small sigh and wondered what her brother was doing now. Probably fuming over her just wandering off. Maybe even tracking her, but she doubted that. He wouldn't have known where she had gone, and wouldn't have caught up. She had crossed the Avibian Plains, and Aggro being a Sandseed horse could travel doubly as fast as any regular horse, but only in Sandseed land. Once back into the realms of the Cowan Clan's land he was just another regular horse. But it had given her the head start that she liked to have over her brother, especially when he hated it when she would just disappear. Thay on the other hand couldn't care less where he was. Or so she made it appear.
Thay drew back to the present and as her mind came to the spot in the forest where she was walking by Andreas, she saw the root in front of her, but it was too late. She landed on the floor with a thump, catching herself on a thorny plant on the way down, scratching her arm from wrist to elbow. She cursed under her breath as she got herself up off the floor, rubbing her arm. She glanced at Andreas, him seeming to be in his own little world, and wondered if he had seen or not. She hoped not. It seemed to be something that would tickle his sense of humor.
Finally, he spoke. His question made her laugh rather loudly, and she turned to look at Aggro, who was trailing behind. "He is fine. He isn't sick. Just a bit hot, and he is sulking." She chuckled softly as she reached for an apple in her bag. "He doesn't like the jungle much, being a prey animal and all, and knowing of the dangers here. Plus, he was looking forward to where we were headed. So now..." She stopped and put out her hand with the apple, and felt Aggro's soft lips as he took it from her. "He is sulking, as he doesn't want to come this way, as there are too many places for him to trip. And he is hot" Thay chuckled again, and patted Aggro, starting to rub his neck, and heard him knicker lightly, making her smile. "He might be happier now"
